Frequently Asked
Questions?
What's the weather like in Charleston in October?
October in Charleston is one of the most beautiful times of the year! You can expect mild, comfortable temperatures—typically in the mid-70s during the day and mid-60s in the evening. The humidity is lower, and there’s often a pleasant coastal breeze. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for the evening, especially if any part of the celebration will be outdoors.
Are kids allowed at the wedding?
We love your little ones! However, the venue does not allow children under the age of 10. We also want all of our guests—especially the parents—to relax, unwind, and enjoy a well-deserved night out. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you can join us for an evening of fun, laughter, and celebration! If you need help finding childcare, there are several great local babysitting services you can look into for the night.
What shoes are appropriate for the women to wear for the ceremony?
The ceremony will be taking place outdoors on compact gravel, so we recommend wearing garden heels for comfort and stability. We want all of our guests to feel at ease and enjoy the celebration without worrying about tricky terrain!
How far is Downtown Charleston from Middleton Place?
Middleton Place is located about 30 minutes from Downtown Charleston by car, depending on traffic. We recommend allowing a little extra travel time, especially if you’re coming during peak hours or planning to use rideshare services. The drive is scenic and a lovely way to enjoy the Lowcountry views on your way to the celebration!
